Al's Original "Classic" Goldfish Lures
The original Al's goldfish is an American fishing classic. Recognized as one of the 50 greatest lures of all time and 10 greatest trout lures of all time by field and stream, the goldfish has been catching all fresh water fish for over 70 years, including trout, salmon, bass, walleye, pickerel, perch and muskie. While known for it's immense success in fresh water, it is also effective in ice fishing and ocean fishing as well. Made with marine grade brass, and the highest quality hooks and rings, this classic can be relied on to last. With it's unique wobble, the Al's goldfish is known among serious anglers as the must have in every tackle box.
The "Classic" Goldfish lures represent a core selection of colors and patterns that are most popular with anglers. We have a lot of options for the angler looking for the "just right" color or pattern, but if that overwhelms you, these core colors are a sure bet to bring you success with a variety of species.
Cast, jig or troll in freshwater or saltwater!
The Goldfish can be cast, jigged or trolled. When casting, allow the lure to drop to desired depth (1 second of time is roughly 1 foot). Retrieve at a slow, steady pace; periodically add a twitch or a pause to mimic a dying minnow. Direct tie on or add a split ring or clip when casting or slow trolling as a swivel will reduce the wobble action for which the Goldfish is famous.
Over 70 years of success catching all fresh water fish including trout, salmon, bass, walleye, pickerel, perch and muskie. Effective in salt water with red fish and speckled trout.
