  • The opening is 3.1" by 3.4", anything that is smaller than that may be caught.

  • Place a small amount of bait such as peanut butter on the back wall of the unit, away from the metal plates on the floor of the trap. Use a cotton swab, toothpick or another tool to bait.

  • As a safety function, the shocking feature will not be activated unless both plates are stepped on simultaneously, to prevent accidents.

  • When a rodent is caught, the red light will flash once every 7 seconds. The trap is sensitive, be sure it is free of hair, dirt, or residue before turning on.

    A rapid red flash may indicate that batteries don't have enough power to kill a rodent.
